There has been a lot of delays connecting to the clans forums caused by broken image links, the server which was hosting our images is using a 'slow' routine to discourage hotlinks. I have disabled all links to images form those servers, but IE still waits a long time trying to fetch them.

To Force IE to stop trying to fetch the missing images highlight the address in IE's address bar and press enter on your keyboard, you may need to do this twice. After which the page will load.
