Kocmoc's online bash was a great success, sadly not as many old hands as was hoped. But a fine time was had by all.
Saturdays event was my first hardcore experience with the new 103 stats and I must say I was Truly delighted. Players are far more willing to move away from flat maps and I had some epic battles in hill country and forested maps.
Far from splitting the commnity swapping between stats is simple and painless.
I firmly believe 103 is the way to go, brains are now the key to winning, and guns are no longer the mainstay, but simply a support tool as the designers intended.

Kocmoc is organising a day of fun and friendly games for Warlords online.
If you are an old hand, or a new player drop by and have some fun
You will need patches v1.02 and v1.03 as well as a StatSwapper of one sort or another,
all available at the Org site.
Also grab as many of the latest maps as you can, and While you're there grab the Naginata Image Set too, Original variant Naginata Images are re-introduced to the game!
Current starting time is Saturday 6 July 21:00 GMT
I hope to see as many old and new faces there as possible
The Original Naginata Image Set is back.
Available from the Org's Recet Files page.

The MTW demo is available for download from a number of sources.
Check Total War.com for locations.
Oddly enough the community has all but vanished for the moment as I assume everyine is playing the Demo. You can find notes on editing the Tutorials at the Org's Mod's forum to expand the options available to you. There are a number of 'Demo Enhancments' now possible

Evaluation of the community's version of the Stats files (1.03) rages,
a further mdoification may be in the works.
Also in the news, XP users have been having problems using StatSwapper,
Check the Library for a solution.

Some new files came online at The Org over the last few days, including new map packs, an updated Bif file reader, new stats packs and installers - very handy.
And most importantly Replacement Naginata Icons, replacing the WE/MI Naginata icons with the Original STW Naginata icons. (ok I know it's reversed on the Battle Screen Card, but we had to get it to fit in a very cluttered .lbm file) (DoragonBarocca did most of the coding)

In a most despicable development Clan Doragons updated website began appearing on servers today.
This is the first time in almost a year that progress on the website has been reported!
Expect the library to be fleshed out fully over the next few days.
Historical Battle Guides may take longer, an error with patch 1.02 means users have to keep swapping back to v1.0 just to play the historical campaigns and battles.
A new patch to correct this error is not expected, ever!
Sadly, if this is the sort of support we can continue to expect from CA and EA then I will remain tentative about buying Medieval when it is released.
